Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Musical Opened on Broadway in 2017

Aubrey Gladstone has long supported the arts, including early off-Broadway theatrical productions and important documentaries. Aubrey Gladstone's favorite productions involves those featuring long-time family friend, Christian Borle.

In April 2017, Christian Borle, a two-time Tony Award recipient, began his leading role as Willy Wonka in the Broadway musical adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The production, following the plot from the original film, features the familiar song titles “Pure Imagination,” “The Oompa Loompa Song,” and “The Candy Man,” in addition to an all-new score of complementary music from the songwriting team from Hairspray.

Directed by Jack O’Brien, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory debuted in New York, and the on-Broadway engagement will run through April 2018, with evening shows Tuesday through Sunday each week. Starting in September of next year, the show will embark on its national tour. For ticket information, visit www.charlieonbroadway.com.
